    Limited Lifetime Mechanical Warranty: Baldwin warrants that each Baldwin product shall be free of mechanical defect for the original purchaser for as long as you own your home.

    Limited Lifetime Finish™ Warranty: The Baldwin Lifetime Finish uses advanced finishing technology (physical vapor deposition) to create a finish highly resistant to the effects of weather and normal wear and tear. The Limited Lifetime Finish Warranty on Lifetime Finish™ products covers the original purchaser for as long as you own your home.

    Limited Finish Warranty: The finish on Baldwin products (excluding Lifetime Finish and living finish products) is protected by a durable topcoat designed to maintain the beauty and quality of the Baldwin product. The Baldwin Limited Finish Warranty covers the original purchaser for five years from date of purchase for interior use and one year for exterior use.

    Living Finishes: Due to the nature of Baldwin living finish products, they will wear over time and may already have begun the process before reaching your home. No finish warranty is offered on living finish products, which are designed to age and improve over time. Living finishes include raw brass, oil rubbed bronze, stainless steel, and other non-lacquered or non-PVD finishes.

    IMPORTANT! You must install Baldwin strikeplate or your warranty is void.

Since 1946, skilled artisans have forged Baldwin Estate hardware by hand, meticulously operating forges and hand-polishing each intricate knob, lever, and handleset. We still use time-tested techniques, such as heat forging, metal plating, and hand polishing. While many hardware manufacturers use the casting technique, Baldwin uses forging to create the flawless look that when polished, will appear completely free of impurities and defects. It is through the skillful and meticulous attention to detail and use of the finest materials that we can achieve high-performance hardware that not only look beautiful and flawless but can also withstand the elements and time.

    Ultimate Flexibility The Estate line offers the ultimate flexibility in creating your own custom look. Not only can you mix knobs, levers, and roses to create a custom lockset that's a true fit to your design vision, you can also mix knob and lever styles on each side of the door, or even split finishes. Baldwin’s patented PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finishing uses a sophisticated formulation of layered nickel alloys to create crisp detailing and brilliantly pure color. It interrupts the aging process and provides outstanding resistance to corrosion in even the harshest salt air environments. Typical “lifetime” finishes of competitors have only two layers – half as many as Baldwin’s, making ours 89% thicker.
