Mechanical Warranty: Baldwin warrants that each Baldwin product shall be free from mechanical defects for a period of 3 years from time of purchase

Limited Finish Warranty: The finish on Baldwin products (excluding Lifetime Finish and living finish products) is protected by a durable topcoat designed to maintain the beauty and quality of the Baldwin product. The Baldwin Limited Finish Warranty covers the original purchaser for five years from date of purchase for interior use and one year for exterior use.

Craftsmanship
The tradition of craftsmanship and commitment to quality run deep at Baldwin. Since 1946, skilled artisans have forged Baldwin Estate hardware by hand, meticulously operating forges and hand-polishing each intricate knob, lever, and handleset. We still use time-tested techniques, such as heat forging, metal plating, and hand polishing. While many hardware manufacturers use the casting technique, Baldwin uses forging to create the flawless look that when polished, will appear completely free of impurities and defects. It is through the skillful and meticulous attention to detail and use of the finest materials that we can achieve high-performance hardware that not only look beautiful and flawless but can also withstand the elements and time.
Lifetime Finishes
Baldwin's proprietary Lifetime Finishes™ in polished brass, polished and satin nickel, create a surface highly resistant to the effects of weather and normal wear and tear, including coastal applications. All Lifetime finishes are not alike. Baldwin developed the first Lifetime PVD finish more than 20 years ago and it continues unmatched today. That's why we back it up with an industry-best Lifetime Finish Warranty. Baldwin’s patented PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finishing uses a sophisticated formulation of layered nickel alloys to create crisp detailing and brilliantly pure color. It interrupts the aging process and provides outstanding resistance to corrosion in even the harshest salt air environments. Typical “lifetime” finishes of competitors have only two layers – half as many as Baldwin’s, making ours 89% thicker.
